We are looking forward to sharing our resources with our friends in the Algiers neighborhood by sponsoring a free rummage sale and health fair. Please gather together items that are clean and in good repair that you no longer need and bring them to church. We will gather at 8:00am on the morning of the fair and bring the “goodies” outside. Common Ground Health Clinic will be setting up stations to perform free blood pressure checks and blood sugar screenings. There will be a confidential area in which AIDS testing will be performed. Additionally, there will be health information made available and a nutritional cooking demonstration. The Algiers Point Children’s Choir will perform also. Walgreens will be administering flu shots. Our church will be giving away hot dogs and coffee. It should be a wonderful morning of sharing and a time to get to know our neighbors. Everyone is invited to come and help us in this outreach opportunity.
