Living out the commissioning of Jesus Christ is what our ministry objective is all about. Please pray that we may be effective and be able to introduce the kingdom to others. We are so excited about the ministry the church is faithfully pursuing. We believe God’s hands are serving others and by meeting the needs of others, people are realizing that this church, can be their church. Keep our mission work in your prayers. We want to lift up Tonia Pence, West Bank Storm Recovery Center, also a regular visitor of Algiers UMC and a member of our mission committee, who is going into the Peace Corp.  Tonia is an amazing servant and feels her experience in working with Hurricane Rita and Katrina victims has prepared her for this awesome calling.  Please keep Tonia in your prayers.  We pray that Algiers UMC can be one of the church’s that can help sponsor Tonia during her mission years.

In December, a Mission Tree will be in the vestibule area of the church.  On the tree will be items for children and Christmas food box items.  Please help us meet the needs of 12 children and 10 families during this Christmas season.  May someone experience the gift of Christ through our giving.
