Mission Moment - Did you Know?
November 4, 2007
Living out the commissioning of Jesus Christ is what our ministry objective is all about. Please pray that we may be effective and be able to introduce the kingdom to others. We are so excited about the ministry the church is faithfully pursuing. We believe God’s hands are serving others and by meeting the needs of others, people are realizing that this church, can be their church. Keep our mission work in your prayers. Do you have any spare time that needs filling?

S.T.A.I.R.
November 4, 2007
I wish to personally thank Betty Glancey, Clera Hughes, and Mary Ingram for their willingness to volunteer their time to tutor the children in the S.T.A.I.R. program. They each took time to go through tutor training and I thank you for your dedication. Hopefully our program will begin soon. We are still waiting on children to be signed up. We pray those the program will benefit, will be willing to accept the gift.

Mother's Day Out
November 4, 2007
October has been a fun month. All of our little ones have settled back into their MDO routine. We have enjoyed watching the season change slowly into fall. We have read stories about autumn, trees, and pumpkins. Our art projects are connected with our stories so we have colored squirrels, leaves, and a big pumpkin. We have even worked on angel wings which will be placed on angel ornaments for our Christmas tree in City Park’s Celebration in the Oaks. Everyone will have to go to City Park to find their “Little Angel’s” ornament on our tree.

After School Special
November 4, 2007
The children continue to come for this special program. Each child received candy, a new toothbrush, and dental floss for Halloween Treats. They learned in October that Jesus is our Shepherd when we studied the 23rd Psalm. Please continue to pray for this outreach ministry.

Mission Moment - Did you know?
September 1, 2007
The Mission Committee will begin a “Noise Offering” in September. This is a time for our children to become involved in mission. They will go through the church collecting loose change to be donated to a specific mission. The September offering will be given to the Retired Ministers’ Homes Board as per request of the conference. This new offering will be collected the third Sunday each month. Bring your change!
