The 20th Anniversary of Katrina
A Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving This Sunday, 11 am

At least once a lifetime, each of us will have a “defining experience,” one which tests our courage, character, and compassion. Surely Katrina was a such an test for many of us and certainly for our city. Are there any lessons to be learned from how we dealt with her destruction and how we met the monumental challenges of recovery? How have we changed? Are we stronger, wiser, better people? Is our city? Should we face another such crisis, will we be prepared? Most of all, is there anything for which we can give thanks?
Plan to be present Sunday as we welcome guest musicians, Luke and Abby, who will accompany our choir with a solo and special music. We at AUMC, along with congregations across our city, will be remembering the past, giving thanks for the present, and looking forward with hope to the future. See you Sunday!
