This Sunday in Worship
Luke 12:32-40

“Let your lamps be burning…be ready;
for the Son of Man is coming
at an unexpected hour.”

This Sunday will be a time of preparation for the start of school. We will be offering gifts of school supplies for our kids’ backpacks, as well as a blessing for all who will begin a new semester. For our children and youth need not only good supplies, but also, more importantly, strong spirits.

So do we! This Sunday’s scripture is Jesus’ urgent call to “be ready,” to prepare ourselves for whatever the future may hold. For Christ has pomised to come into our lives not only at the end of time, but again and again in the midst of life and its many challenges. Will we be ready? Will we be alive and alert to his presence with us, come what may?

Plan to make worship a priority and part of your preparations for the days that lie ahead!

Grace and Peace,
Callie
