I can’t believe we are in a new year already. Our first Joy Club for 2015 will be held on Wednesday, January 14th at 11:00am. The theme will be Winter and the decorations will make you feel right at home in snow weather without the freezing cold temperatures.
Since people in New Orleans eat their way from Thanksgiving through New Year’s, I like to cook a simple, homey meal for January. So my Soup Soup and chicken salad sandwiches will be on the menu. Nutty peach crisp will be the dessert. I am still smiling over our December’s turn out for Joy Club. We had a record number of 32 people and it was a fun time. Let’s see if we can top that number. I promise I have made more than enough soup already. It is my favorite soup to make. The freezer is packed with containers.
I would like to take this time to thank all of you for my surprise Christmas presents. The gift card to Commander’s Palace will be used when my sister visits this spring. My Go Bible is up and running and now I can listen to the Bible whenever I want.
